About Me

I'm Julie — and I've been in your shoes.

I'm the mom of teenage triplets, two of whom have had active IEPs since they were three years old. I've sat at that table as a parent — nervous, overwhelmed, and unsure if I was asking the right questions. I know what it feels like to advocate for your child in a system that doesn't always make it easy.

But I also know that system from the inside.

Before becoming an advocate, I spent 13 years in the classroom and 3 years as an assistant principal. I've been on both sides of the IEP table — and that dual perspective is what makes me different. I don't just understand your frustration. I understand exactly how schools think, how decisions get made, and where the leverage is.

My purpose is simple.

Every child deserves a program built around who they actually are — not who fits most neatly into a pre-determined box. My job is to help you become the most informed, prepared, and confident advocate for your child. Whether you need someone to walk alongside you, take the lead entirely, or simply help you understand what you're looking at — I've got you.

My background:

  • M.A., Educational Administration — Grand Canyon University
  • Professional Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a specialization in Mathematics — California State University, Northridge
  • B.A., Liberal Studies (Elementary Education), Minor in English — California State University, Northridge
  • 13 years classroom teaching experience
  • 3 years assistant principal experience

Professional memberships:

  • COPAA Member since 2022 — The Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates, committed to increasing the quality and quantity of special education advocates and ensuring children with disabilities receive a meaningful education
  • CAPCA Member since 2026 — The California Association for Parent Child Advocacy, supporting families through legislative, policy, and procedural processes under IDEA

I have lived all sides of this process. I get it. It's that simple.

If you think I could be of service to your family, I'd be truly honored to walk this journey beside you.
